UW System’s Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship and Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce join forces to hire Veteran and Military Community SBDC Consultant

The University of Wisconsin System‘s Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship and the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC) announce their partnership to support and empower the Veteran and Military Community’s entrepreneurial endeavors. This collaboration fosters a thriving business ecosystem for Wisconsin’s veteran and military community and their families by supporting a statewide Veteran and Military Community Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Consultant

The Institute has a long-standing commitment to support entrepreneurs across the state. By teaming up with the WVCC, an organization dedicated to championing the interests of veteran-owned businesses, the partnership aims to create a comprehensive and inclusive support system for veterans and their families.

Jonathan Klein has joined the Institute team as the Veteran and Military Community SBDC Consultant. He will be working closely with both organizations to provide guidance, resources and expertise to veteran and military community members and their families looking to explore entrepreneurship or grow their existing business. Jonathan comes to the Institute with eight years of small business ownership experience as well as five years serving in the U.S. Air Force.

“We are honored to join forces with the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce and welcome Jonathan Klein as our Veteran and Military Community SBDC Consultant,” said Bon Wikenheiser, Wisconsin SBDC State Director. “We believe that Jonathan’s expertise and this partnership will be instrumental in empowering our veteran entrepreneurs and driving economic growth across the state.”

The Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce’s President, Saul Newton, added, “We are excited to work alongside the Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship in supporting our veteran and military community members on their entrepreneurial journeys. This collaboration is a significant step forward in our collective mission.”

Veteran and military community members are encouraged to attend the Veterans Business Resource Fair, taking place in Brookfield on May 25 from 8:30am-12pm, for a chance to meet Jonathan as well as explore the vast array of resources available to veterans and military community entrepreneurs available at the event.
