Members of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the UW- River Falls team, along with the Director of the St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center, were honored to receive an award on behalf of the university at the annual St. Croix Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Awards Dinner. The award was presented by St. Croix EDC Executive Director Melissa Meshke in recognition of the university’s ongoing support to the EDC.

Attendees learned practical strategies for clearly communicating who they are, what they do, and the value they bring—all in a concise and confident way. Maren’s approachable teaching style and real-world business insights made the session both informative and empowering, leaving participants better prepared to represent themselves and their businesses in any networking opportunity.
