Eau Claire company ‘honored’ to win 2021 Force for Positive Change award

Earthbound Environment Solutions

Congratulations to Earthbound Environmental Solutions LLC of Eau Claire, one of the top award winners in the 2021 Force for Positive Change competition.

Marquette University and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) held the fourth statewide social entrepreneurship event April 7 as a model for solving social or environmental challenges in a way that is sustainable, just and generating impactful change in Wisconsin (see videos from the day in case you missed it).

Earthbound Environmental Solutions, a family owned business founded in 2014, offers landfill diversion services, better known as organics recycling/curbside composting, for residential and commercial customers. The company uses a pioneering approach to composting to grow food for local families and emphasizes ways to serve the community.

“Earthbound is incredibly honored to be recognized as part of this event and even more so as a finalist and winner, alongside so many other impactful Wisconsin entrepreneurs,” said Jamie Pappas, principal owner. “The tenacity, talent, and overall passion of the participating businesses is refreshing, motivating and empowering.”

“Earthbound Environmental Solutions is well-deserving of the Force for Positive Change award,” said Luke Kempen, center director at the SBDC at UW-Eau Claire. “Jamie and Zach are two passionate people and stewards of the environment and the community who set a high standard in leveraging their sustainable business to help others with food security.”
