Bon Wikenheiser, State Director

 

Bon Wikenheiser state director

Bon Wikenheiser became state director for the Wisconsin SBDC Network in September 2014. Prior to that, Wikenheiser served as state director of the North Dakota Small Business Development Center for eight years, overseeing a 17-office network. She previously was director of corporate programming and director of the Emerging Leaders Academy in Business for the Harold Schafer Leadership Center at the University of Mary, where she earned her Master of Business Administration and nursing degrees.

Wikenheiser sees the UW System as the ideal backbone for growing entrepreneurial and small business technical assistance, fostering technology transfer, advancing innovation commercialization and contributing to economic development statewide through strategic partnerships. 

Wikenheiser is responsible for coordinating the efforts of all Wisconsin SBDC Network locations throughout the state and works with other public and private organizations focused on economic development and entrepreneurship.

She also serves as director of the Center for Technology Commercialization, another program in the Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship. Her qualifications include experience as a recipient of a Small Business Innovation Research grant, reviewer on a national panel for SBIR grant applicants, and owner and operator of multiple small businesses.

 

Neil Lerner, Associate Director - Strategic Operations

 

Neil Lerner

Neil Lerner works with center directors and the state office to improve service delivery and operations in support of our customers, funders and stakeholders, and facilitate the growth of our organization. 

He also manages and trains new consultants with broad regional or statewide scope of work.  

Lerner's long experience with the SBDC, his involvement in regional and state stakeholder groups, and his insight into the trends affecting the Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship are extremely valuable.

 

 

 

Nate Gullick, Associate Director - Strategic Data

 

Nate Gullick

Nate Gullick provides program leadership through complex data analysis to guide strategic decisions, address deficiencies and align the SBDC network in a manner consistent with the expectations of its many stakeholders. 

Gullick also provides strategic input of information technology and data used within the Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship by working with IBE staff, UW System Administration staff and external stakeholders.
